The conference held at Merit House, Maitama, Abuja, was one of the group’s training activities benefited by the host community. Before now the group had gone to secondary schools educating them on Cyber security/Child protection, The Internet and networking, Computer Architecture, among others.
The conference was attended by the FCT State Coordinator, represented by the AD Discipline and Reward, the AD CDS, Mrs Blessing Iruma, the NYSC FCT Band, the Dance and Drama CDS Group, representatives of the Editorial Board CDS Group, and 6 Secondary schools. Some of the participating Secondary Schools are; GSS Garki Area 10, GSS Tudun Wada Zone 4, GSS Wuse II, GSS Gwarimpa and GSS Wuse Zone 3.
Some of the speakers at the Conference includes; Mr Olugbenga Oladipo (ICT Consultant), Mr Tayo Olusunde and Mr Adams Peter.
Side attractions included a drama presentation on Social Media by the Dance and Drama CDS Group, A quiz competition among the participating Secondary Schools, presentation of prizes to the outstanding students during the quiz competition and refreshment for the participating Secondary Schools. Souvenirs were given to all participants at the conference.
The Conference was supported by National Universities Commission (NUC) and Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Diamond Bank were exhibitors, while NTA, AIT and Editorial Board CDS Group provided media coverage and support.
