SHRILL VOICE OF FEAR

During our primary school days, we had this dream that one day we will become dignitaries. We dreamt of many good things to do for ourselves, families, neighbours, relations, less privileged and the country at large. As we grew, our dreams also grew, bigger and wider. Entering secondary school with the same faith, we jumped the hurdle of JSCE and SSCE. After which, we faced the big task of scaling through the almighty JAMB (UME) and Post-UME (Aptitude Test).

Thanks be to God Almighty, we gained admission into universities where we studied, starved and deprived ourselves some beautiful opportunities as youths in a bid to achieve our dreams. Throughout those periods,
we were consoled by the fact that our future holds good fortune for us. We succeeded and obtained our first degrees after long arduous years of toil and suffering.

Now, we are serving our great nation zealously to congeal our dreams, but permit me to ask some bothering questions:
  • Are there organizations and companies there for us to prove our mantle?
  • Can the upper class (the bourgeoisie) and the political juggernauts of this nation allow us to queue in?
  • What is the essence of hustling for many years?
  • Do we still have the strong feelings on bettering this nation?
  • Can these dreams be ever achieved?
Nevertheless, I maintain that nothing is impossible with prayer and commitment.
