THE CLARION CALL

It might be seen as the line of just another anthem, but its actually a mere call for Patriotism, Optimism and Enthusiasm.

Nigeria graduates both foreign and locally trained from all nook and cranny of the federation are to answer the call as stated in the National Youth Service Corps Act “A Person liable to be called upon to serve in the service corps shall serve for a continuous period of one year as from the date specified in the call-up instrument served upon him, and when so called upon, such person shall make himself available for service and shall present himself at such place and time and to such person or authority as may be specified in the instrument or notice.”

The purpose is primarily to inculcate in Nigerian Youths the spirit of selfless service to the community, and to emphasize the spirit of oneness and brotherhood of all Nigerians, irrespective of cultural or social background.
At all times and in all places think, act, regard yourself and speak first as a Nigerian before anything else, under the sun and in the rain.
"Sometimes it falls upon a generation to be great, you can be that generation........ As i have said, the first thing is to be honest with yourself. You can never have an impact on society if you have not changed yourself." - Nelson Mandela
So if and when you do receive the Clarion Call, answer it, be proud to serve honestly, faithfully, and if need be, PAY THE SUPREME SACRIFICE FOR THE FATHERLAND.
Nigeria’s ours, Nigeria we serve.
