At first, Vera was well received by the management and staff of her Place of Primary Assignment (PPA) as a corps member. Later, she became popular in her department because of her intelligence and dedication to work. Little did she know that, she was creating a prospect that will metamorphose into hatred between her and the staff.
She thought of living the place but dismissed it right away because she was already in the 7th month of her service. She became confused of what to do. She was no longer comfortable serving with them and couldn’t think of requesting for a rejection letter because she was afraid of what will be her fate if she changes to another place.
Vera was only relieved that, the Director General of the Organization applauded her selfless service in that office but she still needed cooperation from other staff.
She wrote a proposal telling the head of their department how important it is to see corps members as one the staff instead of an outsider and further emphasized that her dedication to work was not by any means a tussle against the staff. She wasn't really expecting to like this idea but thought of giving it a chance, glad she did.
Now, she is working as one of the staff in that organization after her service year not only because she was good but also she had courage to draw their attention to the reality.
