The statement “There is no free lunch” is made very often and if asked, everybody knows it is true. Isn’t it still surprising that most times when it is said it is buried behind laughter and smiles and when the reverse is the case i.e said in painful situations or situations that have caused hurt, it does not come as a “beware” but as a “you should have known better” or “know this for next time”.
Isn’t it amazing that when you want to download an application or sign a contract, the Terms and Conditions are usually bulky and written in very small letters, still the option of click to agree or decline is boldly written?
The truth is that literally everything has its terms and conditions, from downloading an application to getting a job. From signing a contract no matter how small to buying a house, although these things seem apparent, you may not really know the extent to the terms until you have read through.
On a flip side,
Friendships and Relationships have their terms and conditions no matter how subtle. These conditions exist and as said above after the “did is done” which in most cases will be one form of emotional “crime or fraud” committed, the blurry lines of the terms and condition will suddenly become obvious.
Before you do anything or “enter” into any deal, sign anything contract, even if it is with your family or closest of friends, before you launch into a relationship or move up an acquaintance to a friend, look out for the Terms and Conditions and be sure about all it says, words and intentions. If it’s not apparent, ask.
